I have no reservations in recommending Dr. Spörri to anymore. She is a wonderful vet whom I'm lucky to have found through the recommendation of a friend who lives in Zurzach. She keeps on top of recent developments, and is open to new treatments and methods. She is good at explaining what's wrong with the pet, and answers all questions. Fluent in English. Both vets in the practice speak excellent English, have good interpersonal skills and look after my puppies. They also think that my prime examples of American Staffordshire Terrier are a credit to the breed and think that the proposal to ban breeds is retarded. Hoorah!

Frau Priska Baumgartner and Frau Katja Fritzsche take care of our two cats and our apartment (plants, etc) when we're away, and we've been very pleased with their work. They also seem to be familiar with the vets in the region, which provides an extra peace of mind. We recommend them highly. Details of their (geographical) area of service can be found on their website. One potential downside is that they don't speak English. Our purpose is to provide safe, stress free care for animals whose owners are away and we provide in-home care only. That is, we look after your pets in your home when you go on business trips or vacations.

Pets become extremely stressed in kennels. The stress comes from being in a foreign environment surrounded by strange animals and people. This is especially true for animals that have been adopted from a shelter.

Kenneling pets that have been abandoned, or traumatized may cause them to revert to old negative behavior. Your pets do not understand that you have only left for the weekend. What they do know is that the kennel is a strange environment, with ugly smells and strange animals.

Why should your pets have to leave the comfort and safety of your home just because you have to go out of town? Their food, toilet and favorite toys are at home. The most important thing to them, your smell, is all around them. Your smell makes them feel safe and secure and reminds them of you. Something a kennel can never do.

Mainly an animal shelter for homeless animals, they also board cats and dogs. I have no personal experience with them, although I did visit them once to check out the facility. During my visit, several people came in who appeared to be repeat customers. The people who were on duty were happy to show me the cat kennel areas, and answer my questions as best as they could.
