Dr. Jöhr is an attentive and compassionate vet who examines his patients carefully. Fluent in English, member of the American Animal Hospital Association. [zc]

I have no reservations in recommending Dr. Spörri to anymore. She is a wonderful vet whom I'm lucky to have found through the recommendation of a friend who lives in Zurzach. She keeps on top of recent developments, and is open to new treatments and methods. She is good at explaining what's wrong with the pet, and answers all questions. Fluent in English. Extremely reasonable rates. [zc]

Both vets in the practice speak excellent English, have good interpersonal skills and look after my puppies. They also think that my prime examples of American Staffordshire Terrier are a credit to the breed and think that the proposal to ban breeds is retarded. Hoorah!

Mainly an animal shelter for homeless animals, they also board cats and dogs. I have no personal experience with them, although I did visit them once to check out the facility. During my visit, several people came in who appeared to be repeat customers. The people who were on duty were happy to show me the cat kennel areas, and answer my questions as best as they could. We boarded three cats with Frau Maja Spiess soon after arriving in Switzerland from the US. It was a very pleasant experience for us (and for the cats, to some extent). One of the cats required special medical attention and Frau Spiess was able to take care of him very well. [zc]
